BEFORE AND AFTER
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE AND GARAGE
Romany OUTDOOR PROJECT | 2017
Kansas City, Mo
outdoor living space, screened in porch addition, detached garage
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Our clients came to us with the primary goal of bringing daylight into the dark centrally located kitchen and dining space of their home. In order to achieve this, the scope of the project included removing the attached garage and replacing it with a screened in porch right off of the kitchen - a new detached two-car garage was built as well.
The outdoor living space is equipped with accent lighting, a ceiling fan, and of course an outdoor TV for watching games while grilling. The flooring in the outdoor space is plank-stamped concrete. The ceiling is made of awesome natural tongue and groove planks.
A new driveway was poured, guiding you from the new garage to the house. By including the new driveway, we were able to correct some water issues that had been plaguing both the homeowner and the neighbor. The garage was built from the ground up in the style of the existing historic home. The entire project blends seamlessly with the old home and looks like it was originally built as it stands now.
