BEFORE AND AFTER
THE HIDDEN PANTRY | 2018
MAIN LEVEL remodel, KITCHEN REMODEL, dining room, MUDROOM, LAUNDRY ROOM
The purpose of the project was to update the look of the home and to make better use of the space for the client. The scope encompassed the breakfast area, pantry, mudroom, laundry room, and family room - with the primary focus being the kitchen remodel.
The clients came to us with hopes of solving several key problems. First, they were unhappy with the function of their space and wanted to create a home where everything had a place out of sight. Secondly, they wanted to update the monochromatic and dated brown aesthetic to create a more modern and welcoming space. The process to get to the final design solution involved a schematic design and construction preparation process in which our team worked alongside the client to solve their problems and create a beautiful and efficient floor plan that solved the client's unique desires.
This project focused on changing the floor plan in the kitchen and adjacent rooms to create a more efficient and family friendly space.
The updated floor plan pulled the kitchen wall forward and allowed for a large pantry and prep area with a place for everything. The kitchen island was changed to a rectangular form to comfortably accommodate five people and optimize the space.
